TRAINING & UNIFORMS

Uniforms

Uniform requirements

Flippaball players are required to wear skins or “speedos” for boys and full piece bathers for girls.  These can be any brand and are not required to be Newman Water Polo bathers. We also encourage players to wear mouthguards, which can be purchased at normal retailers of these items.

Juniors players are required to wear Newman Water Polo bathers.  These bathers are primarily ordered as a bulk order at the start of the season and generally have a lead-time of 6 weeks.

We strongly encourage players to wear mouthguards, particularly during games.  At the start of the season the club organises for a Dental Prosthetist to provide fitting and supply of mouthguards, for players who would like to utilise this service.

This year the placing of orders for bathers and the fitting for mouthguards will occur during the first two training sessions (31 August and 7 September 2017). Sample bathers will be available for sizing and ordering at these sessions.  As the club carries very little stock of bathers, we strongly encourage all players requiring bathers to place an order at these sessions.  There is the possibility that further bathers orders can be placed after this time (i.e. for new players starting after the season commences), however the lead time needs to be taken into consideration.

Seniors

Women are required to wear full piece bathers and men “speedos”.
