A big welcome back to all our members for the second part of the water polo season, as our Juniors and Seniors resume their run to the finals and our Flippaballers continue to hone their skills and have lots of fun. I hope that you and your families had a wonderful Christmas, a relaxing break from water polo and are ready to embrace the New Year in all its forms – may it be an awesome one for everyone!
Some great news to share as we restart is that the renovation works on the Newman pool are now complete and the pool will officially be available for use from this Tuesday, 30th January. As a result we are no longer training at Hale pool and we will be jumping into the Newman pool straight away, with training for our Juniors and Seniors commencing on this day. In addition, we have been able to secure additional sessions at the pool (including early morning sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays), to expand our training options for our Juniors and Seniors. A new training schedule has been developed (see below in Juniors section) to make it easy to identify when all training sessions are being held.
We still have some restrictions down at the pool area, as works continue on the renovation of the club and change rooms (which are expected to be completed by the end of March). In addition, the light tower at the pool will not be functioning until these renovations are complete, which will limit the time we can use the pool in the evenings. As the days grow shorter, we may need to make some adjustments to the training schedule to cater for the diminishing light conditions and we will keep you informed of any changes.
The great thing for us as a club is that once these works are all complete we will have a wonderful facility to use, with new club and change rooms, upgraded lighting and a pool that is now able to be heated, thus extending our use and providing more comfortable swimming conditions when the weather gets cooler.

General Information
New Training Schedule
The Newman pool should be available for us to use from 30th January (this will be confirmed on Monday after final pool sign off) so we are very excited to be back on home ground and looking forward to a great new facility. The clubrooms have not been completed so please be patient as renovations are still underway.A new training schedule has been developed with the coaches to offer all players greater opportunity to attend additional sessions to improve swimming fitness, strength & conditioning & game tactics. The coaches have a high expectation that A Division players attend the additional Tuesday skills session and all players are strongly encouraged to attend at least one morning swim session. All extra sessions are provided FREE OF CHARGE to members so please make the most of this opportunity.A few things to note:
Currently we are restricted by the lack of lighting and as such will need to monitor the light and adjust session times accordingly (unless temporary lighting is provided).
Session times have been based on the availability of coaches to schedule alongside their other commitments & this may also be subject to change.
Temporary toilets facilities will be available but no change rooms so please change beforehand. Flippaballers can use facilities at Lavalla campus.
No training on Thursday 8th February for Flippaballers & Juniors due to Whole School Mass.
